Add 66 Claypath to your Itinerary

Type: Bed & Breakfast

66 Claypath is a listed Georgian house with a delightful secluded garden. We are a short walk from the Gala theatre, Durham's Market Square, Castle, Cathedral and riverside paths. Close by are some of Durham's best restaurants and pubs.
Claypath is one of the oldest and historic roads within the city of Durham being the only route on to Durham Peninsula which needs no bridge, since medieval times it has been used by pilgrims on their way to the cathedral and merchants coming to sell their wares. Claypath was once very busy, lined with ale houses, tradesmen and artisan's workshops. However, since the construction of Leazes Road bypass, Claypath is perhaps now enjoying the quietest period in its long history.
We believe No 66 Claypath is ideally located for exploring not just the city of Durham but all that the North East has to offer.
