The cottage is approximately 140 years old and has been awarded a Visit Britain Self Catering Quality Assurance rating of Three Stars. It is situated in the delightful village of Marske on the heritage coast of Cleveland (formally part of the North Riding of Yorkshire) with miles of sandy and safe beaches. The cottage is two miles from Redcar, famous for its racecourse. The North Yorkshire Moors are within six miles and the fishing town of Whitby is twenty-two miles to the South. The Cottage has the benefit of only a short distance to the beach (5 minutes walk) and the shops, bank and Post Office (3 minutes walk). A bus stop is only 50 yards away for regular services to Redcar and Saltburn. The railway station at Marske is on the Darlington to Saltburn line and is approximately 10 minutes walk from the cottage. Car parking is on the road outside. Sorry no pets are allowed. The accommodation is fully furnished and well equipped throughout. There is a lounge/diner with a gas fire, which also services the central heating and hot water. A colour television is provided. The property is fully double glazed throughout and has a modern brick built extension to the rear providing a well-equipped kitchen with electric cooker, fridge/freezer and microwave oven. The kitchen leads into the lobby with second W.C and separate store area, which houses the automatic washer dryer. A payphone is provided and calls are charged at BT payphone rates. There is a small rear courtyard. Upstairs the sleeping accommodation for four people comprises two double-bedded rooms together with a modern fully tiled quality bathroom with 'Ideal Standard' bath, basin and W.C together with 'Redring Plus' electric shower. Duvets with covers are provided. Visitors are requested to provide their own linen but a hire service is available if required.
