Summerhill is a 100 acre Country Park on the edge of Hartlepool that has been transformed for conservation and outdoor sports. The site includes open access facilities for rock climbing, cycling, walking, orienteering and play. Staff at the Visitor Centre run activity sessions for groups and the general public. Summerhill has a Boulder Park, the largest of its type in Europe, a BMX cycling course, a high level ropes course and facilities for archery. In addition Summerhill is a Local Nature Reserve and has ornithological and archaeological interest.
